Lecture content:

The lecture will discuss the basics of molecular physics. Molecular
physics is directly related to molecular spectroscopy. Therefore,
molecular spectra will play an important role in the lecture. Topics
will be:

- What is light
- Energy and momentum of photons
- Boltzmann distributions
- Transitions, imtensities
- Uncertainty principle
- Rotation of molecules
- Vibration of molecules
- Electronic transitions
- Raman and infrared spectrocopy
- Line widths
